Family
Counseling

Families are the hub of our lives.  In our interesting and complicated world families look very different from our grandparent’s generation.  Families are nuclear, blended, extended, single parent, multicultural, multigenerational or simply complex.  There are layers of possible problems including parent-child, parent-adult child, sibling, finances, illness, school, friends, faith, anger, alcohol and drugs which is only the tip of the iceberg.

I’m very comfortable and energized with families in my office and give them an opportunity to share their experience of living with the others.  I’ve been told by some families that therapy is the only safe place they can talk about real life at home.  Usually one family member is identified as “having the problem,” yet, in most families they are all play a part. I help family members become vulnerable, improve communication and develop solutions to help the family live well.
