Counseling
Marriage and family therapists are specifically trained to work with couples and families.
We are designed for relationship but there can be ups and downs when two imperfect people come together. When a couple is in my office, I see three clients across the room; two individuals and the couple. They are able to discuss the discontent or deeper issues they are not able to resolve on their own. I want to hear equally from each person and work diligently to understand them without judging or taking sides. Treatment is planned individually for each couple; one size does not fit all.
Counseling helps couples improve communication, intimacy, understanding or resolve conflict, abuse or betrayal. Most couples who come to counseling are truly interested in having a satisfying marriage but they each bring their own baggage.
Prepare/Enrich is a relationship assessment that is very beneficial for the couple and the therapist. It identifies strength and growth areas, relationship dynamics, personality type, and family mapping which helps the therapist and broadens the couples understanding of themselves.
